西荻窪の岩

A rock with no features as if it was hewed out from a rocky mountain.
Lights come in by cutting out the rock.
Then by taking out another rock, brisk wind comes in.
Then a place emerges and becomes a house.

まるで大きな岩山から切り出してきたかのような、ひとつののっぺらぼうな岩。
切れ目を入れて、ここからある岩を切り出すと部屋に光が満ちてくる。
今度は別の岩を取り出すとさわやかな風が入ってきた。さらに岩を取り出し・・・
気がつくとそこに場所が生まれ、家となる。

At a glance it looks like a closed plan but by placing a volume with light and wind with windows and
taking out volumes, outer space is brought inside.
We aimed freshness where people and environment elements circulate all the time by the circularity space
by cutting out volumes.

一見閉ざされたような構成であるにも関わらず、
壁で囲まれた空気の実な体積を間びき、
窓に囲まれた光と風の虚な体積をそこに入れ込むことで、
外部の環境を積極的に取り込みました。

この体積の間びきによって生まれる環状の空間により、
常に人や環境要素が循環するみずみずしさを目指しました。
